FASA Play a More Proactive Role to Protect ASEAN Shipowners’ Interest, in Particular, Policies on Cabotage of Each of the FASA Member Countries
The 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Federation of ASEAN Shipowners’ Associations (FASA) was hosted by the Vietnam Shipowners’ Association (VSA) in Hanoi on 11 December 2009. The Meeting was attended by representatives from the Filipino Shipowners’ Association (FSA), the Indonesian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA), the Malaysia Shipowners’ Association (MASA), the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA), the Thai Shipowners’ Association (TSA) and the Vietnam Shipowners’ Association (VSA)

808 Ships Has Become Indonesian Flagged Ships, the Government Support More of Cabotage Principle.
In 2010 target that has been a target of the Indonesian government to implement the cabotage principle seemed that that is able to give positive result, even though there are many parties have notions about the policy and realization to optimize national sea transportation equipments and traffics would face many obstacles, especially in monetary and in-optimum distribution lines in Indonesian regions.
